In Holy Matrimony, a baptized man and woman enter a lifelong partnership of love and fidelity, raised by Christ to the dignity of a sacrament. Couples planning to marry at the parish should contact the parish office as early as possible — ideally at least six months before the intended date — to begin preparation.
Marriage Between Two Catholics
Documents needed
Bring these documents to the parish office for an initial meeting with a priest, who will guide the couple through the remaining steps.
Marriage Involving a Non-Catholic
Where one party is not Catholic, the same documents above are required. The couple will also be guided through obtaining the necessary dispensation for a mixed marriage and will receive counsel on raising any children of the marriage in the Catholic faith.
Marriage Involving a Foreign National
In addition to the documents above, a foreign party will need a valid passport (the Kenyan party a National ID), together with any certificate of no impediment to marriage required from their home country or embassy. Couples in this situation are encouraged to begin early and consult the relevant embassy alongside the parish office.
